Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, the Downtown Denver Partnership, and Denver Arts & Venues announced today the Dynamic Downtown Denver Grant Program, providing the region with $350,000 in grant funding from Denver Arts & Venues to enliven downtown neighborhoods. Grant amounts will range from $500 up to $25,000 and will fund events and activations that celebrate the vibrancy, history, arts and culture, and future of our city, powered by the diverse communities that are Denver.

“Our goal with the Dynamic Downtown Denver Grant Program is to help activate a vibrant city center and help people remember why they fell in love with downtown in the first place,” said Mayor Mike Johnston. “These grants will give artists, creators and innovators the opportunity to bring spirit and vibrancy to downtown through authentic, community-led events. Whether it's Shakespeare in the parking lot, a pickleball tournament, and more, I look forward to seeing these dynamic activations in action.”

“Together with Mayor Johnston and our partners at the city, we are continuing to make critical investments to make downtown a world-class place,” said Kourtny Garrett, President & CEO, Downtown Denver Partnership. “We are thrilled to announce the Dynamic Downtown Denver Grant Program, which empowers Denverites everywhere to join us in ensuring downtown is a vibrant place for all. We know there is no better way to bring our community together, re-energize downtown and re-instill a collective love for downtown than through music, art, culture, and celebration.”

Beginning Monday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. (MDT), Denverites – including individuals, community groups, nonprofits, and businesses neighboring Denver – will be invited to apply for grants to host a public event or activation that are innovative and inclusive, and provide the public with a free, unique, engaging experience. Activations can include performances, art installations, block parties, and more. A selection committee comprised of City and community leaders will review applications on a rolling basis.
