It’s Sundown at Red Rocks: AC Golden brings Sundown Cerveza to Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Colorado as a Limited Release
Red Rocks Amphitheatre, along with AC Golden Brewing Company, announced the launch of the official craft beer of Red Rocks – Sundown Cerveza. Born out of a partnership that’s about as Colorado as it gets, Sundown Cerveza, brewed under AC Golden’s Colorado Native portfolio of beers, not only tastes great but appeals to the variety of beer drinkers who seek out shows at Red Rocks.
“To have the opportunity to collaborate with Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a huge deal – not only do we feel the authentic connection between our brands, but we are downright honored,” said Jeff Cornell, general manager of AC Golden. “From humble beginnings to the most iconic stage in the world – we’ve officially made it on the craft beer scene.”
With a name and packaging design that leverages the palpable excitement inside the venue as the sun sinks behind the horizon and the first chords of the music drop, Sundown Cerveza is a 6 percent ABV Mexican-Style Lager that is crisp, with notes of toasted malts and citrus hops, followed by a smooth finish. It’s also brewed with 100 percent Colorado-sourced ingredients.
“Sundown at Red Rocks is always special,” said Brian Kitts, Red Rocks spokesman. “This one just tastes better! We couldn’t be more excited to partner with AC Golden and Colorado Native to essentially keg that one-of-a-kind atmosphere music fans experience and feel during a show, and we’re so excited to share that with everyone.”
Sundown Cerveza is available now at Red Rocks both on draft and in 24 oz. cans. Starting in July, the lager will be featured as a limited time offer in the Colorado Native Trail Pack in grocery and liquor stores statewide. It’s also a beer that gives back; a portion of the proceeds will help to fund a $20,000 donation to Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, which will help rebuild trails and support several community-based programs throughout the year.
