Please join us for the opening of Shared History, a defining mural and permanent installation at the Center for Colorado Women’s History that depicts the creativity, innovation and persistence of Colorado women.
The mural, created by Duplessis Art, spans fifty feet of the visitor center. The mural's vivid colors, representing the Colorado flag, will draw your eyes upward to a collage-like display of ten photos from the History Colorado Collection and Denver Public Library Archives. The project commemorates the 150/250 anniversary of our state and country.
The mural is produced in collaboration with the Athena Project and generously funded in part by Denver Arts and Venues and the National Endowment for the Arts.
See the mural, hear the Artist Talk and enjoy light refreshments. Admission to this event is free, but your RSVP is requested.
