09/ 5/2018 7:00 PM

David Russell of Mobile Mural Lab collective is a public artist/muralist and instructor at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. He will be returning to Denver where he started his public art/ painting career during the early nineties graffiti scene. In celebration of RiNo's annual CRUSH WALLS festival (Sept 3rd-9th), David will be producing a hand painted mural on the outside of RedLine that pays tribute to the history of sign painting and urbanism.

David Russell will also present a lecture and workshop sharing techniques and previous works. He has a background in traditional mural painting and art education, and as a graduate student, conceptualized artistic strategies that use the mural both as a social space and as a departure point for dialogue revolving around critical issues.

This event is located outside of Redline: 2350 Arapahoe St.

Free and open to the public! Please RSVP!
