Moved by Metal Reception

Join us on Friday, May 17th, 2024, during the Art District on Santa Fe’s Third Friday Collector’s Night to celebrate the installation of two sculptural bike racks by artists Emily Zeek and Superior Iron Works completed as part of the Moved by Metal project. There will be a reception with the artists at the ADSF Studio and Headquarters (858 Santa Fe Drive) from 6:00-9:00pm.

Moved by Metal was set in motion thanks to Denver Arts & Venues’ P.S. You Are Here (PSYAH) grant program. The project invited two metal workers and sculptors to create bike racks that celebrate the culture of the arts district while also benefiting our residents, visitors, and business owners. The artists—taking their own stories and experiences into the making process—will be giving their own statements about each piece, speaking on its symbolism and the part these functional sculptures will play in the district.

Moved by Metal bike racks are installed at the intersections of 8th and 9th Avenue on Sante Fe Drive and are now available for public use.
