Fareed Haque
Fareed Haque is a modern guitar virtuoso. Steeped in classical and jazz traditions, his unique command of the guitar and different musical styles inspire his musical ventures with tradition and fearless innovation. Haque has toured and recorded with Joe Zawinul, Billy Cobham, Dave Holland, Paquito D’Rivera, Sting, Zakir Hussain, Bob James, Joe Henderson and many others, in addition to co-leading groups with Tony Monaco, Paul Wertico, Goran Ivanovic, Garaj Mahal, and The Chicago Immigrant Orchestra. Haque has released numerous albums as a leader, in jazz, classical, world music and fusion styles, and is the recipient of numerous accolades and awards including Best World Guitarist, Guitar Player Magazine 2009, 2004 Acoustic Album of the Year, 2007 Independent Music Award, and Best New World Music Group in Chicago Reader Poll 2020.
Harvie S
Harvie S, a renowned jazz bassist, emerged as a prominent figure in the realm of contemporary jazz with his distinctive style and virtuosic technique. Born with an innate musical talent, Harvie began his journey into the world of jazz as a pianist and switched to bass at age 18.
Harvie recorded played bass and produced Jerry Bergonzi’s latest release “Extra Extra” on High Note Savant which is in its 13th week on the Jazz Week charts peeking at #12, and featured his composition “The Truth” dedicated to Barry Harris.
Mike Clark
Mike Clark is an influential jazz-funk drummer who has recorded and performed with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Christian McBride, Chet Baker, Wayne Shorter, and Tony Bennett. Born in Sacramento, he traveled extensively as a child with his father, a railroad worker and former drummer, gaining exposure to a wide range of American musical styles. A child prodigy, Clark played with bands from an early age and later became a key figure in the distinctive East Bay Sound emerging from Oakland.
In 1973, Clark joined Herbie Hancock and helped define the sound of The Headhunters, particularly on the landmark album Thrust, earning recognition as the “Father of Linear Drumming.” He later performed with Brand X and became known for drum grooves that rank among the most sampled in hip-hop, especially on “God Make Me Funky.” Widely featured in leading music publications, Clark remains one of the most influential drummers in jazz, funk, fusion, and contemporary rhythm music.
