Event Details
The popular and free Denver public art bicycle tours return in 2018. The tours will last approximately two hours, with a distance of almost three miles making use of available bike routes and paths.
*All participants are required to wear appropriate safety gear, including a helmet. Participants must sign a release form and will need to provide their own bike, water, food and repair kits.
Led by Public Art Administrator, Rudi Cerri. Tour highlights include artwork at Denver Skate Park, Commons Park, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Colorado Convention Center.
Tours are free and open to the public, but spaces are limited, so please RSVP to reserve your place.
Tours meet at City of Cuernavaca Park, located at 3500 Rockmont Dr, at the pavilion across from the parking lot.
Help us celebrate Denver Public Art's 30th anniversary by photographing our collection on your tour. Use the hashtag #DenverPublicArt30 to participate in our photo challenge.
You can always photograph any piece of the collection, but here are the upcoming monthly themes:
• May: Memorials and Statues, and Asian and Pacific American History and Heritage
• June: Summer Time Art (Picnics and Park Fun), and Find Art in Your Neighborhood
• July: Denver International Airport Collection, and Light or Kinetic Art
• August: Urban Arts Fund, and Indoor Art
• September: Latino and Hispanic History and Heritage
