It’s a grand family reunion!
The two AIA mega peer groups are getting together for the first time ever. The Big Sibs are 20 local chapters representing 40,000 members. The Large States are 13 state chapters representing 55,000 members. These colossal components continue to lead the profession and shape the practice of architecture. As host and the only chapter in both groups, AIA Colorado will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Large States meeting here in 1994.
Denver is on a mission to be the “Capital of the new American West” and has vibrant architecture and a growing economy as proof of its intentions. But challenges are also evident in the form of housing unaffordability and strained infrastructure. We invite colleagues from around the country to immerse ourselves in the community and learn from each other.
