PROGRAMS

Leveraging our unique business model, DAV directs funding to programming in partnership with cultural organizations, artists and community members. We aim to create meaningful experiences, celebrate the diversity of artistic disciplines and cultures, provide a stage or platform or vacant wall for the incredible talent we have in Denver and deepen relationships with our residents and partners. 

We believe in creating with the community and not for the community.

OUR SIGNATURE EVENTS

We create a full roster of programming at our venues and throughout the city that are open to the public and often free or with a low-cost ticket. We host films, yoga and wellness, immersive theatre, storytelling, singing, dancing, art, fashion and so much more. We highlight local talent and collaborate with local businesses and organizations to create one-of-a-kind Denver experiences.

Mayor's Awards For Excellence in Arts & Culture
The award program annually recognizes artists and arts organizations that have significantly impacted Denver’s cultural landscape. All Honorees are invited to a luncheon with the Mayor, Commissioners and staff, and winners receive a financial stipend, a video highlighting their achievements and commemorative artwork.

Art Drop Day Denver
Art Drop Day is a global event held annually on the first Tuesday in September. This single day event creates bonds between strangers through the act of creating and giving. We host Denver's celebration through social media, encouraging artists to drop art across the city and for others to search based on clues provided.

Experiences and creative learning through the arts are critical to student achievement and success. We are committed to supporting quality arts opportunities for Denver Public School students and staff through our own programming and funding opportunities with local partners.

Denver Public Art Collection

More than 400 pieces of art can be found in all corners of the city with 50+ projects in progress. Over $40 million invested in the collection, along with historic and donated works of art, providing opportunity for Denver residents to experience art in public places.
