In collaboration with Denver Botanic Gardens, The Word will host writing workshops and a panel discussion where we will gather to discuss Postcolonial Love Poem, the NEA Big Read selection. This all-day event is at the Freyer-Newman Center and it is FREE to attend. The writing & discussion workshops will be held at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and a facilitator will guide us through the discussion and activities. The panel will begin at 3:00 PM and will include special guests Asia Dorsey, Chenoa Frances, and Matthew Makley in conversation about water, heritage, stewardship, and our collective inheritance and responsibility and relationship to it all.
