THE RIGHT TO REST is a new feature-length documentary about Denver’s homeless rights movement which follows the trajectories of Denver Homeless Out Loud and Colorado Village Collaborative towards the construction of Beloved Community Village, Denver’s first Tiny House Village for people coming from homelessness. The film sheds light on issues surrounding homelessness - from the criminalization of homelessness to the affordable housing crisis to the stigma surrounding the homeless population. At its heart, "The Right to Rest" explores what it means to make Denver a "world class city" and for whom.
Directed by Sarah Megyesy & Guillermo Roqués.
