Legendary soprano Kathleen Battle presents a powerful program of songs inspired by the Underground Railroad. Following her sold-out return performance to the Metropolitan Opera, the five-time Grammy winner and opera star brings “remarkable freshness and beauty” (The New York Times) to this evening of classic spirituals and traditional pieces, including Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and Wade in the Water, performed with The University of Denver's Spirituals Project.
